I am a civil engineer with current experience in the railway sector, focusing on the planning and execution of various infrastructure projects. I have previously served DNC as Chairperson and General Secretary. As a resident of Dartford and an active member of DNC, I am deeply committed to making a positive impact within our community.

Dr. Chandika Bhatta, a teaching professional, has been residing in the UK since 2006. Alongside his academic career, he has always been deeply passionate about social service and inclusive community development. His commitment to these values inspired him to establish and support several educational and community organisations in Nepal.

With the same spirit, Dr. Bhatta founded the Dartford Nepalese Community in 2008 together with 12–13 families. What began as a small initiative has now blossomed into a vibrant community of over 300 families. Serving first as the Founding President and now as an Advisor, he takes pride in witnessing the growth, unity, and achievements of the community, which continues to reflect the strength of shared vision and collective effort.

I blend my research and teaching with community work to support health, education and inclusion. I stay committed to connecting generations, advancing community health, and civic engagement.

Mr Gajen is a social development activist, and he has more than a decade of experiences working in various multilateral and bilateral Organisations in Nepal (UNDP, SDC, SNV, Plan International, and Pro-public) from local to the national level. He holds Master’s Degree in International Social Development from University of East Anglia UK and Master’s in Sociology from TU Nepal. Mr Gajen recently working in Community Health in H&F Partnership, UK. He is also an Advisor of NRNA-UK, Dartford Nepalese Community-UK, Ilam Society UK, Royal Borough of Greenwich Nepalese Society-UK and Chairperson of Social Campaign for Positive Change (SCPC) in Illam Nepal. Mr Gajen has been living in UK since 2005 in Dartford Kent and he is natively from Illam, Nepal.

Dr Bishnu Sharma Nepal, originally from Syangja, Nepal, is a hydropower engineer with a PhD from Durham University (UK), a master’s from Norway, and a bachelor’s from Pulchowk Campus, Nepal. Widely recognised as an industry expert, he has contributed to major projects such as Khimti, Melamchi, Kaligandaki A, Kabeli A, and the Sunsari Morang River Diversion in Nepal, as well as serving as a hydropower expert on international projects in over 15 countries. Dr Sharma is currently with Mott MacDonald UK, a globally renowned consulting company. He has worked extensively in both Nepal and the UK and is socially active, particularly in the fields of hydropower and Nepal’s development. He is currently serving as an advisor to the DNC Executive Committee (2025–2027).

Bharat Lamichhane, a dedicated businessman, has been living in Dartford for the past 11 years. Actively involved in community service, has contributed to the DNC in various capacities, including executive member, secretary and vice-president.

I have been happily living in the lovely town of Dartford since 2018. I enjoy spending time with my beautiful family and being part of its diverse and vibrant community.

I work in public transport, and in my spare time, I actively contribute to our local community through volunteering and community activities.

I am a reflective and community-orientated individual committed to lifelong learning and educational research. My work is driven by a deep intention to serve the community through mentoring, outreach, and inclusive knowledge-sharing.
