DNC Children Visit UK Parliament

An unforgettable and inspiring day saw 50 children and 10 parents from the Dartford Nepalese community visit the UK Parliament for a valuable educational experience. The visit was kindly arranged by our local MP, Jim Dickson, whose continued support for the community is deeply appreciated.

The journey itself was filled with excitement and joy. On the way to Parliament – and again on the return trip – the children turned the coach into a celebration on wheels, enjoying karaoke, singing, and dancing together. Their energy and enthusiasm made the day even more special, creating memories that will last a lifetime.

The visit was led and coordinated by vice president Mr Anukram Rijal , alongside fellow EC members Sharu Nepal, Bhumi Madai, Gayatri Shrestha, and Dr Deepak Pandey, with the valued support of other parents. Their teamwork and dedication ensured the programme ran smoothly and successfully.

Inside Parliament, the children learned how democracy works, explored the historic chambers, and gained first-hand insight into the UK’s political system. It was a powerful learning opportunity that will help broaden their understanding and inspire them when they return to school with stories to share.

This meaningful initiative reflects the strength, unity, and aspirations of the Dartford Nepalese community – empowering the next generation through education and engagement.
